Should my kitten and cat receive the same vaccines?

Kittens and cats receive some of the same vaccines but at different growth stages, with varied doses. You kitten might receive vaccines against:

Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) at 8-9 weeks old, with a booster 4 weeks after. This disease weakens their immune system.

Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, and Panleukopenia (FVRCP) at 8-9 weeks old, with a booster 4 weeks after. There are harmful airborne diseases.

Rabies at 14-16 weeks old. This is a deadly disease impacting the brain and spinal cord.

Your cat might receive vaccines against:

Feline Leukemia (FeLv) annually, then every three years in older cats as needed

Feline Distemper/Upper respiratory (FVRCP)

Rabies

Are vaccines harmful for my feline friend?

Some cats experience vaccine side effects like fever, loss of appetite or diarrhea. Despite these, we believe vaccines are the best tool to fight against harmful diseases. If you notice any of these reactions after your pet receives a vaccine, please contact us immediately.
