Dr. Rikke Danoe
Veterinarian (on Sabbatical)
I was born and raised in Denmark and graduated from vet school there in 2002. During my last year of vet school, I visited Nepal and met a “Chilliwack’ian” while hiking in the Everest region. It may have been the lack of oxygen affecting my judgement, or maybe not, but this is how I ended up practicing in Chilliwack. I moved to BC in 2006 and joined Sardis Animal Hospital in 2014. My favourite thing about the clinic is the amazing staff, amazing clients and the high standard of medicine I can practice here. Areas of veterinary medicine where I focus most of my continuing education in feline medicine and dentistry, but what I love most about my job is that I can learn something new every day within any area. They're always is an opportunity for professional growth and improvement. Fun fact about me: I have worked as a veterinarian in 3 different countries. Pets: Sadly, none at the moment, but I consider my lovely neighbours’ dog mine, and he considers me ‘his.’ Interests: Exploring the outdoors with my kids and staying active. And, of course – baking and dessert making.
